Dollar Store, Biden, foreign policy

In a recent poll conducted by NBC News, a staggering 62% of voters expressed their disapproval of President Biden’s foreign policy actions, shedding light on growing discontent among the American public.

The poll, released on Sunday, revealed a significant dip in Biden’s approval ratings, especially resonating within Democratic circles.

Voices both from voters and members of Congress are amplifying calls for the President to take a stand in favor of a ceasefire in Gaza.

Critical to foreign policy

Breaking down the numbers, the poll disclosed that 30% of the disapproving voters were Democrats. Among all respondents, more than half conveyed their dissatisfaction with Biden’s management of the Israel-Hamas war, including 41% of Democrats, 69% of Republicans, and 59% of independents.

A striking 70% of voters aged 18 to 34 expressed their disapproval of Biden’s foreign policy, adding a generational dimension to the criticism.

Stubborn Biden?

Despite the UN adopting a resolution calling for an “immediate, durable and sustained humanitarian truce” has resisted calls for a ceasefire, articulating his position in a Washington Post op-ed on Saturday.

The poll results underscore a critical juncture for the Biden administration, as it navigates both domestic and international challenges. The President’s stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict has become a focal point, shaping public opinion and influencing his overall approval ratings. As calls for a change in approach intensify, the coming weeks will prove pivotal in defining the trajectory of President Biden’s foreign policy.
