Police investigate fight at Little India on Sunday night

The Singapore Police Force is investigating a fight that occurred at Little India last night, around 9.10pm.

The fight, which took place at 158 Race Course Road, is believed to have started after a male customer got into an argument with a female shop-owner. Two male passers-by stepped in to intervene and help the shopkeeper when the dispute escalated, at which point the customer punched the passers-by.

The police are investigating the fight as a case of voluntarily causing hurt. The Singapore Civil Defence Force dispatched an ambulance to the scene at 9.25pm. Although one man sustained minor injuries, he refused to be taken to a hospital.
