According to Malaysian newspaper The Star Online, the police have arrested a 56-year-old Singaporean for posessing RM1.23 million worth of druge. Such an amount is sufficient to feed 36,150 addicts.

The police said that they had found 27g of Syabu drugs on the man and this led to the raid on his residence. There, they found 5.826kg of Syabu, 565g of Ketamine, 220g of heroin, 35 gram of Ecstasy powder, 5,536 Ecstasy pills and 200 Erimine-5 pills.

Johor deputy police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad said that “the suspect travelled to Singapore regularly and had been carrying out drug-dealing activities for more than three months”

Some RM7,000 in cash, a motorcycle, a weighing machine, a sealer and some plastic were also seized.

The suspect is currently being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. If convicted, he faces the mandatory death sentence.
