The Straits Times reported that a motorcyclist died after he crashed into a turning car. Police said the accident involved a car, a motorcycle and two pedestrians and that they were alerted to the accident at Block 208 New Upper Changi Road, near Bedok MRT station at 5.33pm on Sunday (May 15).
A video uploaded by Facebook user Toon Shuan Foo showed the motorcyclist recklessly speeding past 4 vehicles.
The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old, was taken to Changi General Hospital (CGH), where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The bike flew over a road railing before hitting the two pedestrians. The two pedestrians sustained minor injuries and were also admitted to CGH.
The motorcyclist crashed into a car that was turning left into the street opposite Sheng Siong Supermarket at Block 209. The bike was mangled by the accident and lay at the pathway of Block 209.
