All FairPrice stores to inspect scales daily after labelling discrepancies

Singapore – NTUC FairPrice has announced it would check weighing scales on a daily basis after two videos highlighting inaccurate labels went viral on social media.

NTUC FairPrice came under fire on Feb 5 after a 23-year-old Ukrainian model currently residing in Singapore, Nina Monzolevska, uploaded a TikTok video of a mislabelled chicken breast purchased from a FairPrice outlet.

Netizens outraged at S’pore TikToker’s milo fried rice

Singapore – First, there was “drain water” Singapore chicken curry; now there’s milo fried rice. It appears that the current culinary trends online is putting a twist or completely botching classic recipes.

Following the controversial Singapore chicken curry recipe uploaded by the New York Times (the video recently removed due to backlash), a TikToker has taken to the short video creation app to teach the public how to create “Milo fried rice.”

Please have LTA bring back the over 70km/h beacon, so others behind with a dashcam can submit footage to the traffic police of speeding commercial vehicles especially those with our precious school children entrusted in their care.

Lawrence Wong puts finishing touches to Budget 2022; takes lessons from past crises

Singapore – Minister of Finance Lawrence Wong is putting the finishing touches on the national Budget, taking lessons from past crises that have tested Singapore “severely.”

“This coming Tuesday marks 80 years since Singapore fell to the Japanese in World War II,” wrote Mr Wong in a Facebook post on Saturday (Feb 12).
