Young boy left bleeding after car allegedly hit him in Bugis on National Day

A seven-year-old boy was conveyed to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital after he was allegedly hit by a car in the Bugis area, on National Day (9 Aug).

Photos of the young child sitting on the pavement after the accident are circulating online. The pictures show the boy with blood on his head, arms, legs and clothes. A group of people were seen crowding around the boy.

Some of the photos show uniformed officers at the scene while one picture shows a man attending to the injured boy.

The police have since said that they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a pedestrian along Cheng Yan Place, towards Victoria Street, at 11.39am last Friday. The boy was conscious when he was taken to the hospital.
