Kairi’s tantalizing eyes wins her the Gerber baby photo contest

Her round, distinct, and friendly eyes caught the judges’ attention making Baby Kairi the winner of the 2019 Gerber Baby Photo Contest recently.

Kairi Yang’s dark peepers wooed the hearts of the judges among more than a million entries.

In a press release, Bill Partyka, Gerber’s president and CEO, said Kairi was chosen because of her interesting and wide-eyes which showed a natural curiosity.

Her expressive eyes made her a winner. It’s the thought of looking at the world through a child’s eyes.

In the “Today” show, Kairi was introduced as the first-ever Gerber baby awardee of Hmong descent.

The Hmong (commonly pronounced a ‘mung” in English) is part of Southeast Asia’s ethnic group who can speak their own language and live probably in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, China and other areas in the region.

Kairi is being taken care of her parents, mother Ying Vue and father Peter Yang, along with her extended family members such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, according to reports.

No doubt Kairi will be taught how to read and write in Hmong so that she can talk with her grandparents.

He simple smile provides positive energy and can light up anyone’s life. Her personality is one-of-a-kind.

In 2018, Gerber selected Baby Lucas Warren who has Down syndrome. His photo made a great impact melting the hearts of those who saw Lucas photo posing with the oldest Gerber baby, Ann Turner Cook, who just turned 91.
