Ooops!

It sure pays to watch out for what your small child may be doing, especially in this digital age.

A young mother in the United States learned this the hard way when her toddler inadvertently broadcast her on Instagram Live while she was taking a shower.

TikToker bri.anna89 posted a video about her bath time surprise on the increasingly popular app on Sept 22. Her post has since gone viral, being viewed almost 430,000 times and even getting covered by the New York Post.

In it, the mum of two young girls and who has another baby on the way, writes that she had given her phone to her young daughter so the child could play a game while she took a shower, a strategy millions of parents have probably employed when they require some much-needed “me time.”

Brianna explained that she gave her daughter a learning game that the toddler is familiar with.

However, the child may have pressed something by mistake, as she knocked on the shower door for help with the phone.

The accommodating mum told her to come in.

“She hands me the phone while I am in the shower. I quickly realize that my phone is broadcasting LIVE on Instagram. In my hand. While I am in the shower,” she wrote.

Mortifying as it was, her video resonated with many other TikTokers, who left comments about similar parenting experiences.

Others offered a piece of advice—to use the Guided Access feature on the iPhone, which temporarily restricts it to a single app.

Brianna, who had been unaware of the feature, wrote that she set it up instantly.

Others had similarly helpful advice for parents to avoid the same situation.

In her latest TikTok post, Brianna looked like she was having fun despite all the attention her post got, and all seems to be going well.
