Praise for honest Singaporean woman who finds laptop in bus and gives it to lost and found

“Faith in humanity restored,” said netizens after a woman found a laptop in a bus and handed it over to the lost and found for the rightful owner to claim.

The passenger posted details on the Facebook page Complaint Singapore on Nov 18, noting she found a laptop on bus service 97.

“I pass (the laptop) to the driver. I boarded the bus at Downtown MRT at 8:54 pm. Seated right behind the bus driver,” she noted.

“Please go to SBS lost and found. This is the bus registration number (SBS 6369Z). Forgot to take the laptop photo,” she added.

The post garnered multiple comments from netizens praising the passenger’s actions.

“This really restores my faith that people are fundamentally good and honest!” said Facebook user Mohamed Ismail Hussain.’

“Another good thing from a good person. An honest move. If everyone had this kind of honest heart, what a wonderful world it would be,” added Facebook user Yong Yoke Keng.

Hopefully, the laptop’s owner will come across the post to claim the laptop.

TikToker and Multimedia Journalist for CNBC International, Uptin Saiidi, recently posted a video highlighting that Singapore has learned to eliminate crime.

Uptin conducted an experiment of leaving his laptop at a random Starbucks for an hour without asking anyone to keep watch.

He left to have lunch and came back to his laptop untouched./TISG
