Traffic Police officer crashes into road barriers after his bike skids on oil along Clementi Road

A photo of a traffic police officer sitting in what appears to be a daze following a crash has been circulating online. The barricades that appear to be scattered appeared to indicate the the officer had collided into the barricades during an accident.

The Singapore Civil Defense Force confirmed the barricade crash and revealed that the accident occurred as the officer was riding along Clementi Road towards Upper Bukit Timah Road around 12pm on Wednesday when he skidded due to an oil spill on the road.

The officer suffered minor injuries and refused to be conveyed to a hospital in the SCDF ambulance that had been dispatched.

The SCDF subsequently cleared the oil leaks on the road. Police investigations are ongoing.
