Chee Soon Juan: Singapore’s best years still lie ahead

Singapore — Longtime opposition leader and now restauranteur Dr Chee Soon Juan struck an optimistic note in a Sept 30 Facebook post, writing that he believes “Singapore’s best years still lie ahead.”

Dr Chee, the secretary-general of the Singapore Democratic Party, launched Orange & Teal, a café in Rochester Mall, in June, along with his wife Huang Chi-Mei, with different members of their family helping out.

Windows down, two ‘xia suay S’poreans’ stop in the middle of the road to argue, blocking traffic

Singapore ― Two drivers were seen arguing loudly in the middle of the road, causing a disturbance for other road users.

Facebook page Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road uploaded a video on Friday (Oct 1) of two motorists in the middle of an altercation while in the middle of the road.

“Drivers wind down their windows and argue loudly, all while they keep stopping and moving their vehicles blocking traffic just to continue shouting at each other,” read the caption.

Fann Wong & Christopher Lee not sure of wedding anniversary

Singapore ― On Sept 29, celebrity couple Fann Wong and Christopher Lee celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary. However, they claimed that they have forgotten how many years they have been married.

Each of them posted the same two photos on their individual Instagram accounts.

Lee wrote in his post: “Happy anniversary, my baby. How many years have we been together? There’s no need to count, because it is forever.”

Lorry with workers skids across PIE, smashes into taxi & motorcyclist

Singapore ― A lorry transporting workers was spotted skidding across the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE), resulting in an accident with another vehicle and motorcyclist.

Facebook page Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road uploaded a video of the accident, which happened on Thursday (Sept 30) at around 7 pm.
