Boba and ramen? This boba trend is getting out of hand

We’ve got boba beer, boba steamboat, boba ice cream and now we have boba ramen.

A bubble tea store in Sabah, Malaysia called Ochado is serving Japanese ramen noodles with tapioca pearls.

Ochado released this exclusive dish on Saturday 20 Jul.

Ochado substituted milk tea broth for actual ramen soup just in case customers didn’t like it.

The boba ramen comes with crab sticks and a choice of miso or spicy soup.

The ramen costs RM8.50 (SGD2.80) and according to one customer, it was so tasty they slurped it all up.

Other customers were unsure of the marriage between the sweet, chewy pearls and savoury noodles.

If by any chance you are in Kota Kinabalu, check out Ochado and try the dish yourself!
