Unique blend of music

aespa, a popular South Korean girl group created by SM Entertainment in 2020, consists of four real members (Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning) and four virtual counterparts (æ-Karina, æ-Giselle, æ-Winter, and æ-Ningning).

Their concept revolves around the interaction between these two worlds.

aespa’s music fuses K-pop with EDM, hip-hop, and hyperpop, producing a catchy and futuristic sound. Their hits, such as “Black Mamba” and “Next Level,” exemplify this unique blend.

aespa has accomplished a number of noteworthy firsts since their release, such as breaking the record for the most views in a single day for a K-pop group’s first video (“Black Mamba”) and winning many Daesang awards for Song of the Year.

In May 2024, they released “Armageddon,” their first full album, which solidified their status in the music business.
