One worker injured as thunderstorm causes extensive damage to Lim Chu Kang nursery and farm

A worker was conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital after a thunderstorm caused heavy destruction to Koon Lee Nursery and Chew’s Agriculture at 2 Murai Farmway at Lim Chu Kang around 4pm today. The thunderstorm caused trees to fall across Singapore, causing bus diversions and traffic jams.

Videos and photos shared by Facebook user Mac Teo show the extensive damage to the property as structures can be seen toppled with debris strewn about the ground, mingled with fallen trees. Another eyewitness reported that a fallen tree blocked both lanes on Murai Farmway around 4.40pm:
