Singapore ― Amid the ongoing allegations against Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) co-founder Sylvia Chan, another incident was highlighted on social media, this time with Ms Chan reportedly calling Singaporean influencer Preetipls aka Preeti Nair, a “rhino”.

A recent blog post by #End the Silence entitled “Speaking Up About NOC Sylvia’s Alleged Crimes” highlighted another incident involving the 33-year-old Singaporean YouTuber.

The post noted that Ms Chan allegedly fat-shamed Preetipls.

A staff member wanted to reach out privately to Ms Preeti for her costume sizing instead of asking her to release her measurements on a group chat.

“Despite the explanation, Sylvia insisted for the questions to be in a group chat and replied that ‘she’s clearly fat.’”

“The same staff was supposed to dress the above-mentioned influencer up as a character, but the dress was too small. Thus, Sylvia supposedly made the ‘Jesus f**king rhinoceros’ comment. The garbage bag was referring to a dress that looked similar to a garbage bag,” the post noted.

Attached, were screenshots of the messages sent by Ms Chan.

Preetipls is known not to shy away from controversial topics. “Happy belated #worldmentalhealthday in my beautiful country where Sy*via is the face of mental health but says sh*t like this,” she tweeted on Wednesday (Oct 20).

In response to the leaked messages, Preetipls used the terminology as an opportunity.

Interested customers can head over to her website and purchase merchandise using the code “Rhino” for free shipping off all Singapore orders.

She posted a video of herself on her social media accounts, with the screenshot of the leaked messages as the background, while she promoted the code. /TISG
