The owner of the bike, who asked for help in finding the man, said that he had left his bike unlocked at the entrance of Paya Lebar Quarter mall at around 10:30am on Sunday (May 22).

He had only been gone for ten minutes, collecting a food delivery order, and when he got back his bike was gone.

Luckily, he found it in front of the MOS Burger Paya Lebar Square not far from where he had parked it, with a phone inside the holder.

And when the man who took his bike came out, the owner confronted him.

The man explained that he was “not trying to steal” the bike and that he wanted “to go home”.

“You want to go home?” the owner asked. “If I cannot find my bike, how should I go home? You tell me.”

“He gave me all the funny funny reasons like ‘he saw my bike somewhere else so he brought it here’ & ‘he was tired and not enough sleep so he want to use my bike to go home,’” he wrote in the caption to the IG post.

“You tired? I’m working as well. I’m not relaxing,” he told the man.

“You want to steal my bike and then you want to talk to me nicely? Someone saw you push my bike to here. So I waited for you here.”

“I already said sorry what,” the man answered.

“Sorry, no use, you’re already delaying my time. I’m working right now,” the poster wrote, because he had just bought ice cream for a delivery order, ending up delivering it on foot as his bike had disappeared.

However, he wrote that at one point he had decided to let the man go.

But he added that he when discovered that the man had stolen a food order from another rider, he changed his mind about filing a police report.

The man can be seen in the video taking two bags of food, but it’s unknown if this is the food the owner of the bike was referring to.

“So i ask him to surrender the food back to the restaurant and i followed him to the restaurant, along the way to the restaurant i raised up my voice and keep on questioning him why? Why he want to steal my bike…”

The man then began to “scold” him “with those bad words using malay language and i replied him back in malay language as well.”

To make matters worse, he said that the man accused him of not being Singaporean and “tell me that i am not belongs to here because this is Singapore and bla bla bla,” he added.

The man then challenged him to a fight at the back of Paya Lebar Square.

The bike owner refused.

But then he said the man started to “use his shoulder try to push me, scare me and i use my hand to defend to stop him for pushing me and that’s where he became aggressive and start to punch my back, hit my head (back side) and pinch my upper arm when he saw me called 999 for help.” /TISG
