Singapore — On Sept 14, local celebrity Nat Ho went on Facebook Live with radio DJ Anna Lim of 96.3 Hao FM where he spilt the tea on what he’s been up to; one of which includes making a bad investment.

So what’s up, Nat Ho?

The actor started off by sharing with DJ Anna about his decision to expand his career to Taiwan and the nine-year music contract with Veloce Group in 2013.

It seems that his music career didn’t go too far after the management agency faced some problems – He ended up releasing one music album before he came back to Singapore.

Ho then spent three years filming Channel 5 drama series ‘Tanglin’ before leaving for his studies in the US.

During his time spent filming, he decided to invest in a couple of F&B businesses with his earnings from the show. These businesses included Bobii Frutii (a Taiwanese bubble tea franchise), Say Chiizu (a Thai cheese toast store) and a bento stall.

Sadly, the actor’s businesses couldn’t survive, and he ended up losing his investments along the way. He told the radio host that he doesn’t regret any of it, adding: “I learnt a lot, especially how to do business and how to be a decent person.”

Even though things didn’t work out, we’re glad that it didn’t bring him down!

While Ho seemed optimistic about the situation, he has no intention of venturing into the F&B industry again – and the reason why isn’t what you may think.

“One day, I was counting cash at the register when I suddenly felt pain my neck and back, as if it was burned by fire. I don’t even know how I went home that day. The next day, I broke out in cold sweat and couldn’t get out of bed, and I had to ask my brother for help immediately,” Ho said as he highlighted how stressful it can be.

Not to mention, when he visited a physician for acupuncture, he was told that his symptoms were caused by stress and overworking – which is obviously not a good sign, yikes!

Let this be a lesson learned, guys. It’s important to work hard but your health matters more. /TISG
