Singapore ― An initial hit-and-run accident turned into a car chase as the victim decided to follow the Porsche Macan that hit him.

A Porsche Macan was caught on camera overtaking a vehicle at a bend with double white lines indicating overtaking was not allowed.

The video was shared by Facebook page ROADS.sg on Saturday (Oct 9). The incident is said to have happened along Upper Serangoon View.

It noted that the vehicle recording the scene on the dashboard camera was making a right turn when the Porsche hit the vehicle on the ride side and drove off.

“Cam car gave chase all the way to Kingsford Waterbay condo as the Porsche was trying to escape,” said ROADS.sg.

The cam car driver wanted the car plate registration number of the Porsche for accountability.

“Unfortunately, the Porsche driver escaped from the front entrance car park of the condo because he entered from the back entrance,” the post ended.

The video showed the moment leading up to the accident, the vehicle shaking a bit after getting hit by the Porsche.

Instead of continuing on his right turn, the driver began his pursuit, honking all the while.

The Porsche quickly entered the car park and sped through the area to escape the cam car. The passengers informed the staff at the gate that the vehicle in front was involved in a hit-and-run.

The video ended with the Porsche disappearing from the camera view.

Members from the online community wondered why the Porsche fled the scene, presuming that the driver may not be the owner or didn’t have a valid licence.

“Report ASAP, bro. Maybe this driver got no license. Let LTA (Land Transport Authority) and TP (Traffic Police) investigate soonest. Very dangerous and pest to other road users,” said Facebook user Hamzza Anang.

According to ROADS.sg, a police report has been filed, leaving the investigations to the police. /TISG
