Several Twitter users shared pictures of a leaking roof in Yishun MRT station in the North-South Line earlier this evening (23 Dec).
Pic of Yishun MRT flood. This is the okay section. I think the roof leaked at the ticketing area and it was cordoned off pic.twitter.com/H6l4hX0cdK

A Zaobao reporter also captured the leak at the station.
The Chinese newspaper reporter said that there were pails placed around the station to collect the rain water which spilled down from the false ceiling and that many walked slowly to avoid slipping on the wet floor.
The National Environment Agency (NEA) earlier today issued a warning saying, “moderate to heavy thundery showers with gusty wind are expected to continue over many areas of Singapore.” Many parts of Singapore were blanketed with heavy rain from about 5pm.
Shin Min Daily News reported on July 18 that a train on the East-West Line was hit by a water leak during the evening rush hour. It said that a commuter travelling from Clementi to Outram Park posted the video online. The video shows water pouring from the roof of the train.
The newspaper reported the commuter as saying that the leak was from the air-con vent and that it lasted throughout his journey. The commuter further said that many commuters were drenched.
