18-year-old student selling mooncakes receives Huang Biren’s praise for his good attitude & customer service

A mooncake salesman received some online praise from veteran actress Huang Biren after he offered to help carry her purchases to her car.

The 53-year-old artist took to Instagram on Sept 5 to commend the 18-year-old.

Huang had purchased mooncakes and was on the way back when she spotted other flavours from another stall.

“The staff politely recommended the flavours, and I was tempted to buy more, but knowing I was alone, I gave up the thought,” she wrote.

Though she had not bought anything from him, the young man offered to carry her purchases to her car.

“I hesitated for a moment and told him my car was in the next building, but he assured me that’s not a problem.”

His kind gesture did not go unnoticed as Huang ended up purchasing a few more boxes from him and gave him a shoutout on social media, which now has over 3,800 likes.

Huang Biren said that the “friendly, humble, hardworking and helpful” young man was working part-time during the school holiday to earn some pocket money.

“Your boss is so lucky to have employed you…not because of the few boxes of mooncakes I bought but his patience, very good attitude and excellence in service,” said Huang.

Netizens commented on the post and said that the young man would go far with his attitude. “To be frank, not many youngsters are like this now a day. Well done, young man! Keep it up and learnt whatever you can,” said Instagram user @dcsctcw86. /TISG
