When one buys pineapple tarts, they can reasonably expect that there will be pineapple in most, if not all, of the delicious bites they take? Right?
Then again, maybe not. One woman posted a video of a plastic container of some very nice-looking pineapple tarts. The only problem was, most of which were kosong, or empty.
“Nenas nya hilang,” wrote TikToker Yumi Ayumi, who appears to be a Singapore-based makeup artist, on Monday (Apr 11). This translates to “The pineapple is gone.”
The video shows layers of tarts separated by lace paper doilies, seen from the side of the plastic tub.
When she opens the first layer, only two of the tarts actually have pineapple filling, the rest are quite noticeably kosong.
“Nenas nya manaa. Terkejut saya (Where is the pineapple? I’m shocked),” the TikToker added.
She then proceeds to peel back the next two layers of the paper doilies, only to find more kosong tarts.
Her video was posted on the Singapore Incidents Facebook page, where one commentary wrote that kosong tarts are, apparently, a legit thing.

Other netizens poked fun at the incident.
Some said this is exactly how they like their tarts—empty.
Some, however, suggested that Yumi Ayumi return the tarts to the seller, who may have made some mistakes.
