Netizen says he cringed while reading ST article boasting about Singapore’s achievements in semiconductor industry

A Facebook post from Mr Foong Swee Fong wherein he writes that Singapore has “nothing to boast about” in terms of achievements in the semiconductor industry from Sunday (Oct 2) has gone on to be widely shared online.

“Taiwan, Korea, and Japan can rightfully be proud of their homegrown semiconductor giants, but Singapore, in this respect, has nothing to boast about as it is just riding on the coattails of foreign MNCs,” he wrote.

A Singaporean woman who had been enjoying some Instagrammable spots in Bali with a friend recently took to TikTok to share about how they were interrupted by a British woman who made racist remarks and “bullied” them.

Ms Fuwari, 24, posted a video on Oct 1, which she said was their first day in Bali.

‘Not even one star, should be zero star’ — Customer feels cheated by char siew stall giving smaller portion than what was paid for

A disgruntled customer took to social media to share her disappointment with a char siew stall at Bukit Gombak.

“I don’t even convince myself why I should even give a one star for the rating. It should be zero star,” wrote a Facebook page Complaint Singapore member on Sunday (Oct 2).

Neighbour’s noisy parrot forces woman to sell her Bedok HDB flat; noise pollution problem for many

After 13 years of tranquillity, a woman was forced to sell her flat in Bedok due to her neighbour’s noisy parrot that would squawk in the middle of the night and early morning.

The 45-year-old woman surnamed Wu, chose to sell her Housing and Development Board (HDB) flat at Block 620 Bedok Reservoir Road because of her neighbour’s parrot.
