SINGAPORE: Workers’ Party chief and Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh dropped in on a recent activity of the party’s youth wing, a 7-kilometer walk from Rower’s Bay in Seletar to Sengkang Riverside Park on Monday (Nov 13). Mr Singh came by to say hello to the participants who joined, thanking Workers’ Party Youth Wing (WPYW) president Nathaniel Koh and the activity’s organizers.

“Political participation requires Singaporeans to step up,” wrote Mr Singh in a Facebook post, adding, “It is not an easy road, but once you do, making friends from different walks of life and becoming a more humble and open-minded person usually follows – in addition to opening your horizons to other perspectives and views.”

“Always grateful to all the young people and young at heart who have played their part in growing the Workers’ Party. It is a privilege and honour to walk with you.” The WP chief also posted a link for those wanting to volunteer for the party.

On its Facebook page, the WPYW wrote that more than 20 “energetic youths” participated in the activity, “building meaningful connections and having vibrant conversations. Nature and camaraderie blended perfectly, creating a special experience. Excited for what comes next!”

Mr Koh also shared photos from the riverside walk, characterizing the activity’s atmosphere as “vibrant” and thanking Saiful Adnan, who had initiated and organized the walk. “Let’s maintain the momentum!” he encouraged the WPYW.
