Hong Kong ― Kids’ Lives Matter is touted as one of TVB’s Anniversary dramas this year, and it has received plenty of publicity.

The show stars two TV Kings, Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma. It also sees the return of Linda Chung and Hong Kong Film Awards’ Best Supporting Actress nominee, Catherine Chau.

Kevin and Kenneth have been excitedly promoting the pediatric-themed drama, set to air on Oct 18.

According to Kevin, he lacks experience working with children, but luckily he is a father of two and has some tricks up his sleeves.

It would be Kevin’s first time portraying himself as a doctor in his career. He added that the storylines are very touching, reported Jayne Stars.

Kenneth pointed out, “Kevin was a little nervous because he had to go home to care for his kids afterwards.” Kevin responded, “You will understand in the future when you become a father.”

When reporters teased that he should encourage Kenneth to start a family soon, Kevin said, “You can’t rush these things. It will come when the time is right. He knows he is not young, so it’s on the horizon!” Kenneth teased reporters, I’ll let you guys know when the time comes. You guys think I am rich like Kevin?”

Kevin and Kenneth became good friends after collaborating in 2010’s A Fistful of Stances. Other co-stars teased that both Kevin and Kenneth were the crudest artistes on set.

To this, Kenneth joked, “That’s what an actor should be. Sometimes, you can be cool and stylish. Other times, you can be very unattractive.” Kevin chimed in, “We basically are two boorish men. It’s normal!”

Although female lead Linda, who has returned to Canada was not at the event, she pre-recorded a short clip to support the promotional efforts.

Born Feb 13, 1974, Kenneth Ma Kwok-ming is a Hong Kong actor. He speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English. /TISG
