A video of a food delivery rider’s motorbike toppling to the ground after an elderly man on a PMA (personal mobility aid) scooter passed through the walkway entrance has gone viral.

Facebook page SG Road Vigilante shared a video of the incident, noting it happened on Nov 6 at Blk 363B Sembawang Crescent.

The video showed a motorcycle with a GrabFood bag parked at the walkway’s entrance, thus limiting access for residents to pass through.

Meanwhile, a man on a PMA scooter approached the entrance and took a second to figure out how to pass.

Netizens shared mixed reactions to the video, some taking the side of the elderly man and commenting that this was a good lesson for the delivery rider.

“Might as well park right in the middle of the lift lobby. Come out, bike is there already, no need to walk,” said a netizen.

Another netizen, who was also a motorcyclist, confirmed that the food delivery rider shouldn’t have parked in such a manner.

Meanwhile, others noted that there was enough space for the PMA to pass.

“An adult purposefully hitting the bike and driving on is totally unwarranted, irresponsible act with a vengeance. Why not wait and give a lecture to the Grab rider or just call the police or at least report to the town council. This ‘uncle’ behave worse than the rider,” said Facebook user Mohd Salleh.

“Honestly, this is not the only time I witnessed such acts by men on such devices. After PMD (personal mobility device) and reckless driving, now come this,” added Facebook user Harrison Azahari. /TISG
