After getting stuck in traffic for hours, a motorist was caught on camera brandishing his Malaysian passport as he cut the queue along Tuas Second Link.

The driver also pointed at his Malaysia-registered license plate, seemingly to indicate he had the right of way because he was Malaysian returning to Malaysia.

“The National Day weekend is here, and it means long queues and waiting times at the Singapore-Malaysia Causeways,” reminded Facebook page ROADS.sg on Sunday (Aug 7).

The page shared a video that has since gone viral online.

According to the post, the cam car was stuck in a jam for four hours when the incident occurred.

A black Honda was spotted cutting into the cam car’s lane from the left.

The cam car inches forward, but the black Honda didn’t budge in its attempt. The driver eventually sticks his head out and stares at the cam car passengers.

The Honda driver began gesturing aggressively at the vehicle before grabbing something from the inside.

A few moments later, the man waved his red Malaysian passport out the window.

This prompted the cam car passengers to also show their travel documents from the windshield.

The Honda driver also pointed at the ground as if to explain his right to occupy the space in front of the cam car.

With the Honda already positioned in front of the cam car, the man’s performance continued as he exited the vehicle.

He walks to the rear of the car, points to his licence plate and phone, gives the cam car passengers a thumbs up and walks back to his vehicle.

“Does being a citizen from the country you’re going back home to mean you are entitled to go in front of others?” asked ROADS.sg in its caption.

“If it was a Singaporean returning to Singapore, would you feel differently? Can’t we all just be more patient and gracious to each other?” it added./TISG
