Taxi exploded twice along Commonwealth Avenue

A Transcab taxi exploded twice along Commonwealth Avenue, just after Tanglin Halt Road. Land Transport Authority (LTA) tweeted about an accident at 2.30pm. It later advised motorists that the road had been closed to traffic due to the accident. Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) reported that the fire was extinguished by around 3pm.

Several netizens shared pictures and videos of the taxi being on fire and exploding.
