My grandma loves to clean but dump debris outside HDB window; warnings had been given to her, but she does not listen… how?

A grandson took to social media to expose his grandma, who loved to clean yet had the bad habit of throwing rubbish outside the window.

The grandson who is also a Facebook page Complaint Singapore member said on Wednesday (Aug 31) that his grandma would sweep the house because she liked keeping the house clean.

LTA to allow on-road cycling in Seletar on Sundays at designated hours; netizens highlight concerns on errant road users

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Wednesday (Aug 31) that a new dedicated Sunday Cycling Lane will be introduced along West Camp Road.

LTA said in a Facebook post that beginning Oct 16, 2022, “smoother rides” can be expected at the new cycling lane.

Many Singaporeans still plan to keep their masks on in public indoor spaces—YouGov poll

Even as Singapore’s mask mandate in nearly all indoor spaces has been lifted, many in Singapore say that they intend to keep wearing masks in some indoor spaces, at least for now, a YouGov poll has shown.

Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, who co-chairs the muti-ministry task force dealing with the pandemic, announced at a press conference on Aug 24 that from Aug 29 onward, indoor masking will only be required in healthcare settings and on public transport.

Maid asks other employers how much food allowance they give their helpers when they go on holiday

 

A maid polled other employers on how much allowance they gave their helpers when they went on holiday.

In an anonymous post to Facebook page FDW in Singapore (working conditions forum), a helper wrote: “Hi Employers, I would like to know how much food allowance will you give to the helper when your family go overseas holidays? TIA”.

Otter with fishhook in its paw needs help; if you see her, let the OtterWatch community know

The local OtterWatch community said in a Wednesday (Aug 31) Facebook post that members of the public have drawn attention to one particular otter who has been injured due to something hanging from her right front paw.

“If you see a limping otter with injury to its front right paw, please take a video and send it to Otterwatch, Ottercity, me or anyone you might know in otterwatching community,” the post added.
