Video surfaces: Sylvia Chan says a guy she dated was seeing another girl when they took a break

Singapore — In light of allegations against Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) co-founder Sylvia Chan, about the mistreatment of her employees, videos from her podcast have resurfaced.

The Thirsty Sisters – a podcast hosted by Ms Chan and talent Nina Tan – has seemingly removed all videos from its YouTube channel. Their Instagram page is also unavailable and their TikTok page has been made private.

Video surfaces: Sylvia Chan says a guy she dated was seeing another girl when they took a break

The Thirsty Sisters is a podcast in which they talk about trends and relationship matters, as well as some of their dating experiences. Their latest episode, which touched on sexual innuendos, was uploaded some 2 weeks back on Oct 7.

In the two videos of the podcast which have made their rounds on social media and WhatsApp messenger, Ms Chan can be heard giving relationship advice in one of them and talking about her own dating experience in the other.

In the first clip, Ms Chan and Ms Tan could be seen talking to a woman whose voice is electronically altered to protect her identity. The woman tells them about her aunt’s husband who often go to KTV lounges with his colleagues. Her aunt’s husband met a woman there and “was won over by her”, leading to him booking a hotel near his workplace so that he could meet her on his way home daily. The aunt’s husband’s affair continued for a year.

In the second clip, Ms Chan could be seen talking about one of the guys she had dated. She could be seen saying that the guy explained that they were taking a break in the relationship and asked why he could not see another girl at that point.

Ms Chan said: “Wow then in my head it was like what kind of a d**k are you? Like, I thought taking a break means like you take a break to I don’t know, do yoga?”.

She added: “I don’t think taking a break means like you go and try to date another girl in the meantime to fulfil whatever that you need”.

She said that she then asked the guy for a breakup, at which point he kept insisting that he was faithful to her because they were taking a break from the relationship. In the 42-second-long clip, there is no mention of the guy’s name, but the message circulating with the clip claims that Ms Chan was talking about former husband Ryan Tan. /TISG
