VIDEO | “Morphing into Lawrence Wong until he notices” — Young content creator uses app to turn himself into Lawrence Wong, and Singapore is loving it!

A young Singaporean content creator has been using an application’s face morphing feature to turn himself into Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong “until he notices” and online users are loving it.

TikTok user @teocyrus recently began a series on his page where he uses one of the app’s many effects to transform himself into Mr Wong.

The online user posted the first video of his new series with the caption “Morphing into Mr Lawrence Wing until he notices Day 1.” The 10-second video features the online user fixing his hair and then getting into position for the transformation with a microphone in his hand. The video then morphs into a photo of Mr Wong holding a microphone. The first video has garnered over 60,000 views.

The second video in his series, posted about a day after the first in his series, features the user standing in front of his camera, holding a 10 Singapore dollar bill. The video effect does the same thing as the first, changing into an image of Mr Wong doing the exact same thing. This video has garnered over 20,000 views.

The third instalment in his series features the TikToker getting ready to pose. When he does, he once again transforms into Mr Wong, making the exact same gesture with his fingers mid-speech. In less than a day, the video has garnered over 80,000 views.

On all three videos, the TikTok user comments, calling for other users to tag Mr Wong. While many did just that, others took the opportunity to point out that to them, the creator bears some resemblance to Mr Wong.
