‘Is there something wrong with our relationship?’ — Asks man whose GF expects him to ask her permission before going on holiday with friends

A male netizen wondered if there is something wrong with his relationship, or maybe even with himself because he says his girlfriend expects him to ask her for permission before he goes on a vacation.

He provided a bit of a backgrounder to readers of the popular SG Whispers Facebook page, writing that he is 30 and his girlfriend is 28 and that they’ve been going out for a year.

Red Lions parachutist mishap — hard crash-land during NDP 2022 jump, outpouring wishes from netizens for speedy recovery

 

Singaporeans witnessed the hard landing of one member of the Red Lions parachute team at the National Day Parade on Tuesday (Aug 9).

Third Warrant Officer Jeffrey Heng, who was the last of the parachutists to land on the ground, tumbled and fell, with his parachute enveloping him.

WP’s National Day flag distribution brings smiles to many, even as Pritam Singh acknowledges the challenges younger Singaporeans face today in achieving their dreams

The Workers’ Party was out in full force on National Day (Aug 9), with MPs, members, and volunteers turning up at various activities, including distributing mini flags in different parts of Singapore.

To MP Jamus Lim (Sengkang GRC), who recently returned from a fellowship at Stanford University, the flag distribution not only “brought much joy to our young residents,” but also stands for so much more.

Man crying at NDP says his outpouring of emotion was his ‘thank you’ & appreciation to all who contributed during Covid-19

Perhaps the most enduring image of National Day 2022 is that of a man moved to tears during the NDP.

No less than Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong posted a photo of the upturned face of Mr Azuan Tan with tears streaming on his Facebook and Instagram accounts, calling it “one of the iconic images of #NDP2022.”
