What could a person do when they’re stuck in traffic for hours? One Singaporean TikToker decided to get creative in the three-hour-long jam at Second Link on Sunday afternoon (June 19), including directing traffic, making videos, and eating putu mayam on the bonnet of his car.

In a video now seen by over 155,000 viewers, TikToker @v.raj___ wrote, “Things we do while being stuck at Tuas checkpoint.”

In fairness, the putu mayam looked delicious. And the TikToker even called it “damn good.”

The video showed at least one amused onlooker taking a video of v.raj___ and his friend eating while stuck in traffic, with lines and lines of cars stretched out after theirs.

It also showed others stuck in the jam having stepped out of their cars to find out why it was taking so long to move.

Bringing food, it seems, was the most important takeaway from the traffic ham.

Amused commenters offered suggestions as to what the poster could do the next time he’s stuck in traffic, such as bring biryani and chairs too… or to have food delivered to them.

Responding to one netizen, v.raj___  wrote that they got caught in the traffic jam at Second Link at 2:30 that afternoon.

One netizen said he was surprised at the amount of traffic.

Plot twist: v.raj___ and his travelling companions gave up, and made a U-turn at Woodlands. They ended up arriving in Singapore by 9 pm that night.

Some were shocked that it took the poster such a long time to get home, but he was hardly the only one who experienced this.

Apparently, system issues were the reason for the jam.

When one commenter said they should bring a projector to watch movies, the posted laughed and said they did watch a movie in a car together.

But eating wasn’t the only thing the TikToker and his companions did. They also sang together, as seen here:
