Following BTS was Canadian pop icon Justin Bieber as the second most streamed artist, with his hit album Justice and catchy tune Peaches (featuring Daniel Caesar & Giveon) ranking top 10 locally. Coming in third was American superstar Taylor Swift.
Making his way to Singapore’s top most streamed local artists list for the first time is Benjamin Kheng. Mainstayer JJ Lin held his position as the top streamed local artist, followed by Gentle Bones who climbed to second.
Mandopop held its spot as one of the most popular genres in Singapore. The Taiwanese “King of Mandopop” Jay Chou was the fourth most streamed artist in 2021, making it to Singapore’s top artists list for five consecutive years. Not far behind him was homegrown artist JJ Lin, who ranked seventh most streamed artist in Singapore.
