Singapore — The Land Transport Authority (LTA) was busy during the holiday weekend, apprehending a total of 326 motorist-related offences on Christmas Eve.

“While most were preparing for their Christmas festivities, our enforcement officers pressed on with their operations over the last few days to ensure safety this holiday season,” wrote LTA in a Facebook post on Sunday (Dec 26).

Singapore — Despite pre-ordering their Christmas dinners weeks in advance, customers of Collin’s Grille were disappointed to have their celebrations ruined after waiting in queue for hours, yet their meals never materialised.

Photos and videos of the fiasco began circulating on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, with Collin’s Grille customers posting negative reviews following the incident.

3 BTS members tested positive for COVID-19

South Korea — 3 members of the K-pop sensation BTS have been diagnosed with the coronavirus following their return to South Korea from the band’s first pandemic-era US concerts.

Big Hit Music, BTS management confirmed in a statement Saturday (Dec 25) evening on its fan community platform, Weverse, that RM and Jin were diagnosed with COVID-19.

Almost half of S’pore workers unsure about staying in their jobs the next 6 months

Singapore — A survey conducted by leading global jobs portal Indeed shows that almost half of the Singapore workers (49%) are unsure if they will stay in their positions in the next six months. The data also shows that 24% of workers intend to leave their current employer in the first half of 2022.

According to the data, the pandemic is an important factor in workers’ desire to quit. Over 42% of respondents thinking about leaving their jobs said the pandemic affected their decision. The pandemic led employees to realise they don’t like their current employment (49%), and also increased stress levels (46%), workloads (44%), burnout (33%) and isolation (20%).
