things-to-consider-in-booking-wedding-venues-in-singapore

A man asked to fork out most of the wedding expenses wondered if he is too stingy or if his other half is just asking too much of him.

In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, the man asked others if he was considered to be stingy for asking his fiancé to pay more for the cost of the wedding banquet, as he was tight on funds.

In his post, he wrote that all of their wedding expenses were borne by him, as his in-laws and parents did not chip in. For their future house, the man added that he paid four times more than his fiancé did for the down payment. He also added that for the wedding photos, dowry, and gifts of jewellery, he had paid about $15,000 already. Their honeymoon expense had not been factored yet as it was yet to happen, he added.

“The rest of the cost to split such as reno and small banquet reception.. so i kinda request for the banquet (a small banquet) about 5xxx to not be 50/50 as im struggling to keep up with payments due to lack of funds”, he wrote. He added that his fiancé was “being nice” by offering to share the cost equally, but he felt that he had paid more overall.

“And I dont want to disappoint my other half, as according to tradition in her pov its the male to fork out and carry the cost. Should i pay all of it or nego about it?” the man asked netizens.
