The victim, a 21-year old Chinese woman, was the only passenger on a blue factory workers’ bus when the bus driver decided to make an unplanned stop with claims that the bus was faulty.

According to her police report in Malay, she said, “The bus driver said he had to go down to check on the bus’ condition which he claimed to be faulty. I felt scared during the situation and asked him to open the door so I could get off. However, the bus driver refused to open the door and didn’t allow me to go down”.

“He closed all the curtains and started to take off his pants and went towards my direction. He started to hug me and tried to rape me but I managed to fight him by kicking the driver and managed to escape from the driver”.

The woman’s sister also wrote that after the victim fought the bus driver off, she immediately called her parents for help.

The translated Facebook post read:
“ It happened to my younger sister! At 12.30 pm on June 25, my sister boarded a blue factory workers’ bus at CIQ JOHOR (plate no: bhk9333).

Coincidentally, she was alone on the bus. After waiting for a while, no one got in the vehicle, and the driver drove off. She wanted to get a lift to Guang Ming, but the bus suddenly stopped by the roadside in front of McDonald’s at tmn sutera.

She felt something was wrong. She asked the driver to open the door, and she wanted to get off. Little did she know that the driver was intent on sexually assaulting her! Fortunately, my sister fought hard, kicked him in the head, and fled to the driver’s seat to try to open the door! The driver opened the door, and she escaped!” /TISG
