Earlier on Sep 30, the socialite shared the news of being proposed to on Instagram. The news was not only limited to a post on her feed, but also in a series of Instagram Stories.

The Instagram post appears to have been deleted about a week following the proposal while the Stories have long expired following their 24-hour lifespan.

The 30-year-old posted a now-deleted Instagram Story around midnight of Oct 7, writing “It just didn’t work out” followed by “Hurt inside from my present & past”. However, it is not clear if this was referring to the state of the couple’s engagement.

Social media users on @sgcickenrice, a local confessions page, speculated that this could be the end of the couple’s relationship.

However, as of Oct 8, the photos have been restored. The caption to one of the photos read:

However, her connections with high-profile celebrities like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Big Bang’s Seungri has brought her into the limelight on several occasions.

Lim has been described as a down-to-earth person and spends a substantial amount of her time doing charity work.

Being Peter Lim’s one of two children, Lim maintains that her father let her lead an ordinary childhood and that she only knew of his wealth in her adolescence.

Lim’s parents divorced when she was four years old. Recounting the seven-year-long divorce to an interviewer in 2019, Lim described it as:

“… the darkest period of [her life]”.

The messy divorce came to an end in 2002, but Lim still remembers shuttling between her parents’ homes every two to three days.
