However, the two celebrities confirmed that they were not dating and frequently talked like that due to their close relationship.

On May 18 (Saturday), Wong’s Taiwanese boyfriend, Boris Lin, released a public statement showing support for his girlfriend. He also asked Fang to stop coming between his relationship with Wong.
“On this matter, I feel that besides some of Mr Fang’s bolder speech and actions, my other half has done nothing wrong,” wrote Lin via Instagram.
“I hope that after this matter, Mr Fang can stop trying to come between us, as well as respect his friends and the life that he has,” he added.

The following day, Fang posted an apology on Instagram.
The caption reads:
“The events in the past few weeks have reminded me that there are consequences to everything that I say and do.
To all parties involved, and everyone I have caused hurt and inconvenience to, I am extremely and sincerely sorry. I promise to take this lesson to be a better person.
To my fans, colleagues, friends, and most importantly my mother, I thank you for your support and I apologize for the immense disappointment you have experienced.
I can only hope that you give me a second chance as I continue to learn from my mistakes. I am truly sorry.”
In response to Fang’s apology, Lin posted a lengthy statement on Instagram and questioned the sincerity of Fang’s apology, how the latter was only obliged to address the scandal.
Lin also perceived Fang to be faking his innocence and pitiful state to gain publicity.-/TISG
