An online user on Monday (Sept 26) shared an eye-catching missing animal poster to an online Facebook group, Singapore Incidents.

“Lost!” the poster read, featuring a photo of a chicken named Demuk. The description of the poster read, “Last seen in Blk 733. Please help me find my tiny chicken. You will be rewarded in cash if found.”

The netizen who lent a hand by sharing the poster on social media captioned the photo “I(‘ve) seen dogs, cats and tortoise missing posters, but chicken missing poster?” They then added their suspicions regarding the pet’s location. “I think this chicken is someone’s dinner already–KFC, Texas chicken, Popeye’s Chicken, Jollibee, ayam penyat or ayam curry anyone?”

The photo seems to have gotten a laugh out of a handful of citizens, who said that they suspect that the chicken is already on someone’s dining table.

“This is a cruel world for chickens,” wrote one, who made reference to the face of a famous fast food chain. “The colonel may look like a kind old man but he is the devil in disguise. Please tell all your chickens to stay away from him and stay safe.”
