Christina Aguilera celebrates 20th anniversary of debut album

Pop singer Christina Aguilera posted on Twitter to announce her debut album’s reissue on a number of formats on August 23.

It is the 20th anniversary since a young Christina Aguilera released the self-titled debut album with her hit single Genie in a Bottle.

In conjunction with the occasion, the singer will be reissuing the famous album in a variety of formats.

A digital version will include the album in its original form, along with remixes and an a cappella version.

An autographed vinyl version will also be released, along with a cassette. All reissues can be preordered on Aguilera’s website.

Urban Outfitters will also be celebrating with the release of an orange vinyl reissue. It can also be preordered by following this link.

Christina Aguilera released her first on August 24, 1999, at the tender age of 18.

It was certified platinum eight times over by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and sold upwards of 14 million copies throughout the world.

The diva’s last opus, Liberation, was released in June 2018.

Besides singing, Aguilera is also a songwriter, actress and television personality.

She has received five Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She is ranked number 58 on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Greatest Singers of All Time in 2008 and was included on Time’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2013.

Aguilera is one of the world’s best-selling music artists with 75 million records sold.

The singer was born in Staten Island, New York City and raised in Pennsylvania.

Alongside her music career, Aguilera starred in the film Burlesque (2010) and was a coach on six seasons of the singing competition television series The Voice from 2011 to 2016.
