A video of a Grab delivery motorcycle knocked down after a vehicle mounted a kerb got a concerned individual worrying about children’s safety, especially since the accident occurred near a primary school.

“Never take things for granted,” wrote Facebook user Raymond Png who posted a video of the incident on Friday (Mar 25).

The video showed the accident’s aftermath, with the motorcycle already knocked down and a black sedan on the pavement.

The vehicle also destroyed the metal railings at the side of the pavement.

While the individuals involved discussed nearby, the Grab delivery rider could be seen lifting his motorcycle to an upright position.

Mr Png noted that it was fortunate the Grab rider was standing nearby and didn’t get hit.

“This happened just beside Ai Tong Primary School and MidView City,” added Mr Png.

“Happened around 2 pm today and can’t imagine what would happen if it’s during the school hours dismissal time,” he said, noting the area would get crowded at peak hours.

Mr Png urged road users to be “alert at all times, especially when driving near schools.” He added that pedestrians should also be extra cautious.
