South Korean boy group BTS’ Jungkook is the most searched K-Pop idol on Google based on Global Google searches with an index score of 10.43 per cent for the 1st to 2nd quarter of 2019, becoming the most popular K-Pop idol worldwide right now.

The data was collected by global measurements and data analytics company Nielsen.

Japanese media Otokake also recognised Jungkook as the most popular BTS member in Japan beyond the worldwide context – and talks bout Jungkook as the face of BTS, multitalented being good at painting, taking photos, playing drums and beatboxes.

His singing ability is extremely high and his performance on the grand stage gives goose bumps.

The BTS’ maknae (youngest member) is celebrating his birthday on Sept 1 and he will be turning 22.

To celebrate his special day, Jungkook’s fans are planning something to make his day memorable.

His fans, also known as Army have mobilised to mark the occasion with charitable acts.

Several of Jungkook’s fanbases have already organised charity projects to help the less fortunate children and teens from Jungkook’s hometown of Buk-Gu in Busan.

Apparently, Jungkook Supporters (@supporter_jk) and The Golden Union (@TheGoldenUnion) had donated 7,000,000 KRW (about SGD8,000) and 1,000,000 KRW (about SGD1,000) in Jungkook’s name.

Their donations will be channeled to assist about 70 local youths in need, as well as disabled children who attend the Buk-Gu Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled.

In response to the compassionate act done in the name of the singer-songwriter, whose real name is Jeon Jung-kook, the district office from the idol’s hometown had released a statement.

The Buk-Gu office wrote: “We express our deep appreciation for the beautiful donation through their mature fandom culture, along with BTS who are role models for teenagers who spread a message of hope.”

BTS also known as Bangtan Boys is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed in Seoul in 2013.

The septet co-writes and produces much of their output. Originally a hip hop group, their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres.
