SINGAPORE: A woman took to social media sharing that two months after they broke up, her ex-boyfriend had a newborn in his arms.
In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, the woman wrote that she was in the relationship for six years. About a year ago, he told her that his house was being renovated and he was helping a relative with work so he would have less time to meet her. As time passed, he eventually blocked her and went missing.
In her post, the woman wrote that she found her boyfriend’s behaviour had changed. She tried to look for him but was unable to find him. Even when she visited his house, he was not home and no one answered the door. She added that she felt he had moved on with someone else. She accepted this as her fate as she knew him to be a stubborn and hot-tempered person and added that a confrontation could have even caused him to be physically abusive towards her. “It was till recently I saw him carrying a baby who is around 6 months old after this long. Now the thing is, we broke off 9 months ago, how could the baby been 6 months old now?” she wrote.
“I decides (sic) to check on this and to my shock, some of his friends knew this. Worse of all, he told them I passed away hence he moved on quickly in order to forget me and ease his pain”, she added.
In her post, the woman added that she was very puzzled as to why her ex-boyfriend went to all these lengths just because he wanted to break up with her and have an affair with another person.
Netizens who commented on the post told her to be happy as she had dodged a bullet. One said: “Sometimes it hurts , take time to heal and actually is also a good thing. U don’t want to spend the rest of your life with people like that do you? Just leave all these behind and live your good life, there is not need to think how they are living, it’s not important and they don’t think of I either”.
Another commented: “Lady, don’t be upset anymore. Whoever upstairs made you go through this so you won’t marry him. He is a big big big red flag. Trust yourself and whoever upstairs. A better future awaits for you”.
