Woman tracks the address of the person who took their iPhone 13 Pro by using the phone’s tracking app, files police report

SINGAPORE: A woman took to social media after her husband left his mobile phone in a TADA car on Monday night (Aug 28). She tried calling the phone, and it rang, but the person who had the mobile refused the call and then turned the phone off.

However, the phone’s tracking app is still on, and the woman, who goes by Bella Bella on Facebook, wrote in a Tuesday (Aug 29) COMPLAINT SINGAPORE post.

“Whoever it is, I can still track your location while switched off. You’re staying at block 425A Northshore Crest. Please contact me if you’re the one holding on to the phone. Police report has been made,” she added.

She added a screenshot that showed the phone’s location.

“Many people don’t realise that finders keepers is stealing,” wrote one commenter on her post, while another wished her luck in getting the phone back.

The Independent Singapore has reached out to Ms Bella, as well as to TADA.

In an email, the ride-hailing company told us, “We understand the importance of providing updates and information to the public, and we would like to address this matter accordingly.

Upon reviewing our records, we have identified the trip in question and are currently in the process of reaching out to the driver-partner who serviced the ride. Our team will make every effort to locate the lost iPhone

We value your interest in this matter and assure you that we are taking it seriously. We will continue to work diligently to resolve this issue and provide any necessary information to the public.” /TISG
