Kit Chan reunites with Jacky Cheung 26 years after their Snow.Wolf.Lake Musical

SINGAPORE: In an Instagram post, theatre actress Kit Chan shared a photo of her with her former theatre buddy, Jacky Cheung, at his concert here in Singapore. The picture was taken backstage, and she expressed her realizations after watching her colleague’s performance.

“After watching Jacky’s concert, I am even more determined to give up the idea of ‘retirement’. In every way, I think he’s in better shape now than he was ten years ago,” declared Kit Chan.

She also added: “Status itself includes the body, mind, and soul, so if we take care of ourselves in all aspects, age should not limit us. Except our own will.”

Aside from Jacky inspiring Kit to banish the idea of being retired, the actress was happy to spend time with her old friends.

“Our Sg 🇸🇬❤️ boys really made us proud!” she said.

Netizens expressed their thoughts in the comments section.

Artist Jason Lim said: “I remember you both were in the production! Good memories.”

One IG user stated: “He is truly inspiring and a remarkable singer ! No one I know could even come close to doing what he does ! And at a professional level ! Utmost respect to the legend !❤️”

Another IG user mentioned: “Yes, I agree 👍 Many times, musicians in all genre.. not only pop, classical too.. Will think that one lifetime is not enough to improve their musicianship. ❤️ Looking forward to more good songs from you.. 🙌”

Kit Chan and Jacky Cheung were part of the Hong Kong musical Snow.Wolf.Lake. It was considered one of Hong Kong’s first modern musicals. Back then, the play had 42 sold-out runs in HK and was also popular in Singapore.

In similar news, Kit Chan recently made a remake of the iconic National Day song titled ‘Home’. She shared in her IG account that she made this for its 25th anniversary.

“I don’t know how the generations of Singaporeans who grew with this song might feel about this more introspective and personal interpretation of “Home”. I hope that they will like it, or allow for it. For better or worse, it is my own vision of Singapore, and my personal experience of it now,” she said.
