‘Underpacked, overpriced’ says netizen after McDonald’s trainee measure fries by weight

SINGAPORE: A netizen took a video of a McDonald’s trainee at work, particularly at the french fry station, where she can be seen weighing a pack of large fries.

However, when the customer received the order, the red carton looked missing a bunch of french fries, leading one commenter to write, “Underpacked, overpriced.”

The video was published on the Singapore Incidents Instagram page on Sunday (July 16).

For the sake of comparison, this is what a large fries looks like in a Facebook post from Friday, July 14, from the McDonald’s Rivervale page.

There is a considerable difference when the two are seen side-by-side.

Yup, it looks like there’s definitely a difference.

However, the McDonald’s Singapore website shows a large fries order that is no longer in the red cardboard packet but in a smaller-looking paper packet instead.

This is not the first time someone has expressed disappointment in McDonald’s french fries.

In May, a disgruntled  McDonald’s customer posted a picture of a barely full “large” french fries order. /TISG
