2 Principals of PAP Community Foundation preschools charged with misappropriating funds

Principals from two PAP Community Foundation (PCF) centres have been charged with criminal misappropriation of funds in the State Courts.
Bavani V R Kumaran, principal of PCF Sparkletots preschool at Block 644 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4, allegedly misappropriated more than S$13,500. The 39-year-old faces two counts of criminal breach of trust.
While in a separate case, Koh Anna (also-known-as Koh Susie), principal of PCF Centre at Block 515, Jurong West Street 52, was charged with misappropriation of funds amounting to more than S$79,000.
Bavani was charged on Feb 23, and Court documents showed that between Jan 3, 2014 and October 30 last year, she had allegedly misappropriated cash belonging to someone named Ong Choo Huay by converting the money for personal use. Bavani will appear in court again on Mar 22.
Koh was charged on Feb 22 (Monday) with four counts of criminal breach of trust. Koh has a pretrial conference scheduled for March 24.
Criminal breach of trust carries a jail term of up to 15 years, as well as a fine for each charge.
