Ex-NOC CEO Sylvia Chan hiring staff for her new media company, but says she’ll never be a ‘nice boss’

Former CEO of Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) Sylvia Chan is now hiring for various positions at Gushcloud and her new media company, Savour365. In an “Ask Me Anything” session on Instagram on Monday (Dec 5), Sylvia revealed she was looking for new staff for the two companies.

Following the NOC saga, where Sylvia’s management style came under fire, someone asked her if she had really changed. “I know one person who work(ed) with you after the saga,” wrote the netizen on her Instagram story.

Sylvia said she would never walk away from her strengths, nor would she be a “nice boss who hangs out for drinks after work and listens to breakup stories and tell staff to submit their overdue reports next week instead.”

“Am I a boss who sends you articles to read, books to discuss, workshops and events to attend together? Absolutely,” she wrote.

Sylvia then says she thinks her new community values her “honesty, willpower and drive towards her purpose.”

“Join my team only if you are driven, self-initiated, love learning, love opportunities. Otherwise, you will hate it here. 100%,” she added.

According to her posts, they are looking for podcast interns, operations and account managers, freelance writers, content writers, and more.
