As if there aren’t enough shocking things in the world today, a woman was allegedly seen breastfeeding her cat on a recent flight in the United States.
What makes the incident more bizarre is that when she was asked to stop and put the cat back in its carrier, the woman refused.
While there are no photos or videos of the incident, which allegedly occurred on Delta Flight 1360 from New York to Atlanta, a screenshot of a message sent using the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS), has been circulating on social media since Nov 23.

ACARS is used by pilots to send text-based messages to the ground.
According to the message, there was a passenger on seat 13A “is breastfeeding a cat and will not put cat back in carrier” after a flight attendant requested her to do so.
It also asks that Delta’s “Red Coat” team address the issue when the plane lands.
This team is described by the company as “elite airport customer service experts” who are “specially trained to handle on-the-stop customer issues.”
The image was also shared on Reddit.

The message has not been verified by Newsweek, which reported the incident on Nov 26 and said it has reached out to Delta Airlines for comment.
However, Newsweek also reported that in a TikTok video, a flight attendant named Ainsley Elizabeth seemed to refer to the incident.
In the video, which was posted on Nov 2, she says that “security met the flight because a woman was breastfeeding her cat.”
On Nov 13, she uploaded another video, wherein she said, “”This woman had one of those, like, hairless cats swaddled up in a blanket so it looked like a baby.
Her shirt was up and she was trying to get the cat to latch and she wouldn’t put the cat back in the carrier. And the cat was screaming for its life.
What does she do at home if she’s doing that in public?” she asked. “And then security met the flight just to tell her that she couldn’t do that again, cause it was weird and gross.”
American writer Rick Wilson tweeted the screenshot allegedly from ACARS, writing “Also, civilization had a good run.”
