BLACKPINK’s Lisa tested positive for COVID-19, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé tested negative

South Korea — BLACKPINK’s Lisa has tested positive for COVID-19. According to her agency, YG Entertainment, the Thai-born rapper was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Nov 24.

At that point in time, the other four members of the group, Jisoo, Rosé and Jennie were awaiting their results after hearing the news of Lisa’s diagnosis. The latest news is that the other three members of BLACKPINK received negative results for COVID-19.

In a report by Soompi, Lisa is said to not have any special symptoms and that all four members of BLACKPINK have been fully vaccinated.

Since 2016, Lisa has been part of the hit Korean girl group BLACKPINK. In September this year, the singer made her solo debut with her single album Lalisa. Lalisa sold over 736,000 copies in its release week in South Korea.

Lisa is also chosen to be the ambassador for many brands, and the latest one is with the American beauty brand, MAC Cosmetics. It was announced on Nov 13, 2021, that Lisa will be releasing her own collection named MAC x L. Lisa is known to be a fan of the beauty brand.

Since the pandemic started, many have been affected, including celebrities. Ji Chang Wook, a South Korean actor who starred in Healer, Suspicious Partner and Backstreet Rookie has had COVID-19 but has since recovered.

My Roommate is a Gumiho star Kim Kang-min also tested positive for COVID-19. Doyoung from Treasure is one of the musicians who contracted the coronavirus. Besides that, So Jung-Hwan also tested positive for the virus. Nevertheless actor Kim Min-gwi also tested positive for COVID-19. Most of these celebrities have already recovered from the virus and have returned to work.

The pandemic has affected filming, concerts, gatherings, and most activities related to show business. However, as the number of infections has reduced, filming, concerts and gatherings have resumed. /TISG
